It’s the copper-infused granules on the surface of the shingles, with their natural algae fighting properties that work to prevent algae from growing on CertainTeed roofing shingles. Certa Seal from Certainteed is a high-grade adhesive that helps seal your shingles together on your roof. This protects your roof against the wind causing an uplift that can blow shingles off your roof and allow moisture to infiltrate. Because this high-grade adhesive is not like other harder sealants., They won’t try out and crack. This sealant remains pliable. This will accommodate small shifts in the structure of your roof that can happen after years of temperature and weather changes.
